Hollywood Hair: awards Season
If you know me, you know I love watching movies. You also know I love hair. Well, I also loves actors who act in movies and I especially love the ones with great haircuts.
I often lament how short my customers at Turner’s Barbershop request their haircuts to be. Compared to the Red Carpet Standard of mid-long length flowing and framed looks - buzzed, cropped and faded finishes are by far the most popular styles for the majority of the country and my chair is no different. I’m not complaining. It is what it is. One of my goals for this year is to encourage my customers to indulge a slightly longer hairstyle in order to stay up to date with the most current hair trends and to potentially achieve something more flattering as well as fashionable. Wish me luck!
Awards Season has just ended and if you didn’t spot me eating loads of sugar at the local cinema (shout out Dome Cinema, Worthing) you would’ve caught me liking, reposting and fantasising about (professionally speaking, of course) the glorious hair-do’s that walked the various Red Carpets. Hollywood’s Biggest Night Of The Year is the Oscar’s so I’d like to showcase some of my fave cuts from the event and why they might be worth considering for your next cut at Turner’s Barbershop.
These styles couldn’t be more relevant and I would love to delve deeper into mid-long haircuts in 2026. This, I’m afraid, requires a lot of trust and patience from the customer as I realise that hair grazing the ears and tickling the neck is not everyones cup of tea. However, I challenge you to look a little closer when watching films, TV or scrolling through photos of celebrities. Tell me what you notice. Unless you’re watching football or MAFS, you won’t see many skin fades.
I love movies and I love ‘Hollywood Hair’. If you fancy having a restyle at Turner’s Barbershop, I would be honoured to guide you through the process and help you look like an A-Lister.
Thank you for reading.
